• There's a new tab on the spreadsheet for musicians. It lists the sound effects and music needed by scene. This will make assignments easier.

• Musicians, send what your strengths and capabilities are both for making music and sound effects if possible. This also will make designations easier.

Happy Summer & Happy Pride!

First of all, please give a warm welcome to @Percy | 💙Mike VA and @Charlotte the Hobbit as your new heads of art! They will be running art along with Finny from now on.

As school starts winding down for many of us, (though many of you still have a month or so) that means hopefully more time on our hands! This coming month, deadlines will be slack, but overall more enforced.

I know things have been slow lately, and many of you are very inactive, but I and the other mods are expecting an uptick in activity in the coming weeks. Please at least read the announcements. Most of you aren't. We can tell.

Also - today was the server-wide workshop! If you could not make it, the mods have started compiling a list of your home addresses- kidding. The results of the server-wide were to split up our first episode into two parts. Check the drive recording for more info + to hear our discussion!

Finally, the PRSU website is fully operational and was posted on Tumblr! Yay! You can find it here.

Happy Mother's Day!

Say hi to your mom today!

This week, we welcomed Percy and Charlotte as our new trial mods. They will be alternating being the main/head art mod each week - this past week was Percy, who is now handing the torch over to Charlotte. Artists, field questions and whatnot towards them! For questions about the trial itself, ask me or as always open a ticket.

Also, as Priz has already announced, there will be a server-wide workshop as soon as we can (likely in June) to discuss major plot structure aspects that affect all departments - watch out for more announcements soon!

Also, a general reminder to remember to fill out the task sheet so we have a constantly updated list of what everyone is doing.

FIRESIDE CHAT - MAY THIRD

It's Gonna Be May

Hi everyone, and welcome back to your weekly fireside chat! There's some important stuff in here so pay attention ✨

Firstly, some important announcements - we've gotten some suggestions from a couple different people:

- the length of ep 5 should be shortened and have content pushed to ep 6

- we should add an aditional ep so we have 5-9 instead of 5-8

- splitting ep 5 into two parts

- splitting ep 8 into two parts

- splitting all eps into 2 parts

The writing team has been discussing this, but we want the opinions from everyone since every member of prsu has a role to play in production. therefore, we will be hosting a server-wide workshop! We will be discussing this topic and would like as many people from every team as possible to attend. date/time decisions will be coming soon.

Also, we're implementing something new - some of you already know, though others do not! Essentially, stand-out members of our teams may be appointed by mods as 'mini-mods' (or minions, as I call them.)

If you are approached, you may of course turn it down, but if accepted you'd be helping the mods with things like spreadsheets, workshops, answering questions, etc. The role will of course grow and change over time, but that's what we're thinking as of now.

Lastly, due to concerns over rushing too much & how close November really is, we are slowing down! PRSU is NOT ending, but we are going to take things slower and have looser deadlines to ensure higher quality work!

I also want to encourage y'all to fully read and absorb announcements - we try to limit them so you aren't overwhelmed with pings, but that does mean they are a bit long. Please take the time to read them as we take the time to write them!! Thank you

So, I know this project can get extremely overwhelming. I know it does for me, and I literally run it. I'm sure the other mods agree too!

Major Update!!!

THE DRAFT OF EPISODE 5 HAS BEEN OFFICIALLY COMPLETED!

This is such a huge milestone to be reached, thank you to everyone who helped get us here--and thank you to everyone who have very patiently stuck around for updates like these!!

So what's next?

The draft is with the beta readers now who are fixing formatting, making comments, and suggesting ideas on how to make the script even better. Within the next ~2 weeks, the script will head back to the writers for revision, then we're off!
